What jimvite sends

Every SMS jimvite sends is a transactional invitation, reminder, or confirmation initiated by a Host who has recorded consent to reach you. The Service does not send marketing, promotional, or fundraising messages, and never sells or shares your number.

How SMS opt-in works

jimvite uses double opt-in for every phone number.

A Host who knows you personally adds your phone number to their contacts and attests, in the app, that you've agreed to receive event invitations from them.
jimvite immediately sends you a one-time confirmation SMS (see sample above) asking you to reply YES.
Until YES is received, your number is not eligible for any further SMS. If the Host also has your email address on file, they can reach you by email in the meantime.
After you reply YES, you'll receive event invitations and reminders from that Host by SMS until you reply STOP.

Reply STOP at any time to opt out of all further SMS. Reply START to re-subscribe after opting out. Reply HELP for a short informational message. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency depends on the events you're invited to (typically fewer than 5 messages per event).

Privacy at a glance

Your contact information is entered by the Host who invited you, and is visible only to that Host and to the Service's operator.
SMS and email content is not shared with third parties for marketing.
Delivery is handled by Amazon SES (email) and Amazon SNS / End User Messaging SMS.
Consent metadata (timestamp, IP, user-agent) is retained for audit even after opt-out.
